“Il mio nome è Justyna Kopania e sono una pittrice. L’arte è una passione. L’arte è il mio asilo, la mia vita, la mia poesia, la mia musica, il miglior sigaro, il tè più gustoso e forte, tutto. La mia arte riflette il mondo che io percepisco con tutti i miei sensi, le persone che incontro e che amo, la natura che ammiro e tutte le cose che influenzano quello che io sono. Nel mio studio dipingo, a volte, anche per diverse ore al giorno. Ispirata da certi momenti che vivo e che restano nella mia memoria, Provo sempre a dare il senso del momento che si è impresso nella mia memoria. Nella pittura provo a mostrare il “mondo”; come può essere visto osservando la realtà che ci circonda attraverso un'altra prospettiva, inusuale, remota, a volte attraverso gli occhi di un bambino, come se fosse musica, una melodia o qualcuno che guarda i licheni sul mare, la luna, il cielo e le stelle, il fiume, come guardare fuori da una finestra e osservare quello che succede in strada. Camminare per strada osservando le facce delle persone quando piove, nevica o c'è nebbia. Forse il mondo che circonda noi umani è differente da come lo percepiamo tutti i giorni. Probabilmente in ogni goccia di pioggia, granello di sabbia, petalo o neve, ci sono milioni di colori che ognuno può vedere se si impegna ad osservarli con una prospettiva inusuale. Vorrei essere in grado di interagire e catturare in un dipinto il tempo che passa così rapidamente, secondi che fanno nascere minuti, minuti che generano ore, ore che si trasformano in giorni, questi in settimane e le settimane in mesi. Dai mesi gli anni e dagli anni la vita. La più grande arte è di vivere la vita in modo da essere felici, vivere in armonia con se stessi e con il mondo che ci circonda dando noi stessi agli altri”.

Quando hai capito che volevi fare l'artista?
L'ho sempre saputo – sorride Justyna – ho sempre disegnato e dipinto. Quando ero piccola ero affascinata dal balletto, dal suonare il pianoforte e il violino, ero attratta dall’opera, dal teatro, dalla pittura e da tutto quello che, generalmente, può essere definito arte. Sognavo di creare, non di distruggere.

Quali sono i passi fondamentali della tua evoluzione artistica?
Affronto l'arte come l'unico mezzo per sognare per sempre. Ho provato differenti forme artistiche, dalla danza al teatro, per comprendere e arrivare a questo, ma la pittura resta per me la più importante. Con il teatro e l'opera ho realizzato la mia prima importante serie di dipinti ad olio per la mia Carmen. Questi dipinti sono teatrali, esagerati nell'esternazione delle emozioni, dei sentimenti e dei pensieri; questa è “l'arte per l'arte”. Carmen è il primo dipinto che ho eseguito, nella mia Carmen ho dipinto Georges Bizet mentre ascoltavo il tango di Astor Piazzolla della trasposizione cinematografica della Carmen di Carlos Saura. La mia prima ispirazione è un uomo nel senso generale del termine ed è l'Uomo il tema principale dei miei dipinti sia la sua umanità, la sua psiche, nonché le sue credenze, la sua espressione, quello che dice e tutto quello che rappresenta la sua anima e il suo corpo. Quindici anni fa ho creato la mia Carmen, questo invece è qualcosa di completamente differente, pulito, semplice che stimola coloro che lo vedono a pensare, a riflettere sul significato della vita, dove l'uomo cerca quello che è e quello che sente. Sono dipinti grandi, il più grande ha una dimensione di 200x150.

Qualche modello a cui ti sei ispirata? Perché?
Sono cresciuta con l’"Arte polacca". I miei nonni, in soggiorno, avevano appeso alcuni dipinti di Mokwa e grazie a lui ho cominciato ad amare il mare, lo spazio, ciò che non è sempre ciò che un uomo osserva. Ero affascinata dai dipinti polacchi di maestri come Matejko, Malczewski, Mokwa ecc. Poi ho visto i quadri di Picasso ed è stato bellissimo è stato un importante passo avanti per me. Certo, cito i nomi di alcuni pittori, ma ce ne sono moltissimi da Leonardo da Vinci a Rembrandt, dagli impressionisti all'arte fino al 1950.

Cosa ne pensi del mercato dell'arte? Quali sono i suoi limiti e quali sono le sue potenzialità?
Questa è una domanda veramente difficile e sarò piuttosto diplomatica nel rispondere al quesito. La cosa bella è che ognuno di noi oggi può mostrare al mondo intero ciò che crea. Se qualcuno si impegna, è in grado di dedicarsi completamente all’arte, alla pittura, ecc. e non ci sono delle limitazioni, abbiamo Internet in tutto il mondo e grazie a questo, la gente di tutto il mondo può condividere ciò che sta realizzando. Questo è meraviglioso ed è il futuro, tutti hanno amici sparsi per il mondo: questo è il filo conduttore che unisce tutti. Credo che però abbiamo anche un problema mondiale di violazione del diritto d'autore, non solo nell'arte in genere, ma anche nell'informatica e così via. Ci può essere sempre qualcuno che, senza il nostro consenso o senza che noi possiamo saperlo, cercherà di usare le noster opere, questo dovrebbe essere un reato punibile ed è punibile, ma le sanzioni sono irrisorie.

Che consigli daresti o cosa suggeriresti agli artisti contemporanei?
Questa è una domanda molto importante. Ricevo molti messaggi e lettere, per esempio, di persone che vorrebbero dipingere come me, io rispondo sempre no! Ognuno di noi è differente, ognuno di noi vede il mondo in modo diverso e deve guardare il mondo con i proprio occhi. Ognuno dovrebbe creare da sé, secondo ciò che sente, e non imitare gli altri artisti. Penso che imitare sia una brutta cosa! Quello che una persona vuole dire ed esprimere in pittura o in altre forme d'arte deve essere un'interpretazione personale, se qualcuno crea qualcosa, lo deve fare in funzione di quello che sente, crearlo dal cuore, con il proprio io e i propri sentimenti. Ognuno di noi ha, in fondo, qualcosa da mostrare ed è bello perché ognuno è unico. Mi piacciono moltissimi dipinti di artisti contemporanei, ma questo non significa che devo dipingere come qualcun altro; copiare e imitare non è arte. L'arte è creare sè stessi mostrando questa creazione nella pittura e nelle altre forme d'arte.

A quale, delle tue opere o quelle di qualcun altro, sei più legata?
Sono più legata ai dipinti della serie Carmen, Maschere, e le marine. Questi sono per me i dipinti più importanti.

Avendo la possibilità di scegliere, dove vorresti esporre? Perché? E in quale periodo dell'anno?
Questa è una domanda molto difficile per me. Sto ricevendo moltissime proposte per mostre in tutto il mondo, da New York, Londra, India, Cina e Giappone, ma penso che il momento per certe mostre debba ancora venire. Per ora la cosa più importante per me è lavorare sulle prossime serie di dipinti. Mi sto concentrando solo sul lavoro. Dipingere per me è più importante.

Secondo te si può vivere di arte?
E perché no? Se si è diligente è possibile. La pittura è un lavoro duro, hai moltissime cose da fare. Ogni giorno si impara a rivedere il proprio quadro, sedendosi e prendendo i pennelli in mano, prendendo in mano la propria pittura, la propria arte. È una forma di vita, uno stile di vita, non può esserci interruzione o pigrizia. L'arte è come una pianta, ogni giorno deve essere accudita.

Nel processo di crescita e nel tentativo di affermazione e diffusione del proprio lavoro quali sono le difficoltà che, più spesso, incontra un'artista?
All'uomo piace lasciar perdere, abbandonare, rinunciare, nell’arte non puoi rinunciare. Nell’arte non si può mostrare alcuna debolezza, nel senso che non si può dire non so come dipingere o non so come osservare per vedere "qualcosa". Se questo accade mi dico: IMPARA! Prendo un album da disegno, carte, tele, qualunque cosa, matita, penna, vernice e pennelli e butto giù schizzi fino a quando non imparo, finché non capisco perché sto facendo questo o quale errore sto facendo per non dipingere quello che voglio. Chiunque ha questi momenti e moltissime persone in questa fase di scoraggiamento pensano di non potercela fare, è un errore, niente è impossibile. Volere è potere e questo si applica a tutto quello che può essere definito arte dalla pittura, alla letteratura, al teatro e così via. È difficile, ma è questa meravigliosa unicità in cui ognuno di noi esprime qualcosa di differente nel proprio modo. Se noi prendiamo cento artisti e prepariamo cento cavalletti, tele e tutto il resto, in un'enorme stanza e ad ogni persona viene fatta dipingere una solita cosa, ad esempio una natura morta, ognuno dei cento dipinti sarà differente, unico perché ognuno farà attenzione a certi dettagli, differenti a quelli degli altri. Questo è il bello dell'arte: rende il mondo meraviglioso e ti permette di crescere.

Che cosa potrebbe essere migliorato nella comunicazione dell'arte?
A questa domanda preferiscono non rispondere.

Puoi dirci un merito e un difetto della critica dell'arte?
La critica dell'arte è un grande cosa. Il vantaggio è sicuramente che grazie alla critica possiamo percepire qualcosa che altrimenti non vedremmo. Noi artisti non riusciamo a criticarci obiettivamente. Lo svantaggio è non avere una critica equa o addirittura una critica volutamente iniqua.

Cosa ti piacerebbe che i lettori sapessero di te e sulla tua arte?
Penso che tutto quello che dovevano sapere è già stato detto sopra.

E per ultimo, ma non meno importante, quale domanda vorresti che ti facessero durante un'intervista?

My name is Justyna Kopania. I am a painter. Art is a passion... Art is my asylum, life, poetry, music, the best cigar, tasty strong tea, everything. My Art reflects the world I perceive with all my senses; people I meet and love; nature I admire, and all the things that affect the way I am. In my studio – work – I paint a few, sometimes several hours a day. Inspired by certain passages of what I see, and stay in my memory. When did you realize you wanted to be an artist?
I knew that forever Emoticon smile I've always drawing, painting... When I was a small child, fascinated with ballet, plays the piano, violin... I was fascinated by opera, theater, painting, broadly defined art... I dreamed to create, not destroy...

Which are the main steps of your artistic evolution?
The fact to deal with the art of dreaming forever. I tried different arts, from dance, the theater, to understand that but the paintings is for me the most important. With theater, opera, he built the first "serious" series of oil paintings of my Carmen. These paintings are theatrical, exaggerated to show emotions, feelings, thoughts... this is the "art for art". Carmen is the first paintings that I painted. My Carmen I painted Georges Bizet while listening to opera Carmen, music from the film by Carlos Saura's Carmen and while listening to tangos by Astor Piazzolla. The main inspiration for me is a man – a very broad sense. And it is "The Man" – is the main theme of my paintings. Both the interior of Human... Do you have inspirational role models and why?
I was brought up on, "Polish Art" at my grandparents in the living room hung a paintings Mokwa, thanks to him I loved the sea, space, what is not always a man observes... I was fascinated the Polish paintings such masters as Matejko, Malczewski, Mokwa etc... Then I saw the paintings of Picasso... and it was beautiful... it was a breakthrough for me... What's your opinion about the art market, its limits and potential?
That's a pretty tough question Emoticon smile I will say rather diplomatically on this question... The beautiful thing is that each of us today can show the whole world what creates... If someone is busy, it is able to completely devote himself to art, painting, etc., there is no restriction for him... we have the Internet around the world, thanks to him, people from around the world share what they are doing... it's beautiful, It has a future... Everyone has friends all over the world... the threat that flows from it all – I think we have a worldwide problem of copyright infringement, not only in the wider art, but also in information technology and so on. There are always a person who without our knowledge or consent, will try to use our copyrights... this should be a punishable offense... And is punishable, but the penalties are too small…

What would you suggest to enhance the value of contemporary artista, any idea?
This is a very important question. I get a lot of messages, letters, for example, that someone would want to paint like me... I always answer – no! Each of us is different, each of us sees the world differently, look differently at the world around us... and everyone should create by himself, according to what he feels, and not imitate other artists... I think that imitation is very bad! By imitation, lost myself, what a man wants to say, to express in painting and so on. If someone creates something, it should do so, as he feels, to create from the heart, with its interior, with its feelings... Each of us has, after all something else to show... and it is beautiful because each is unique... I like a lot of paintings by contemporary artists, but that does not mean that I have to paint like someone else... copying, imitation, it is not art... art, creating themselves, showing in painting and so on.

What is your favorite piece of art, either yours own or another artist's?
I am most attached for paintings from the series Carmen, Masks and seascapes. These are for me the most important paintings...

Should you pick a venue for your artwork exhibition, which one would you pick, why and during which time of the year?
That is a difficult question for me... I'm getting a lot of proposals for exhibitions around the world, from New York, London, across India after China and Japan... but I think it's time for exhibitions, etc. is yet to come. For now the most important thing is for me to work on the next series paintings... I concentrated just on the job, it is most important for me – paintings.

In your opinion, could one be an artist in Italy for a living?
And why not? If you are diligent, you can... Painting is hard work, you have a lot of work, every day man learns to look again at the painting, sitting down and taking brushes in hand... What are some of the most common obstacles to artists' professional and creative growth?
A man likes to give up... in art can not give up, Art can not show any weakness in the sense that I can not, I can not, I do not know how to paint, I do not know how to look at it to see "something", etc...
